Subject: minutes Jan 4 2006 From: RLaRosa331@aol.com Date: Sat, 28 Jan 2006 15:07:43 -0500 (EST) I counted a total attendance of 20, including the speakers. Dave Rost reported $8803 in our account. Telephone service volunteers: January - John Dunn February - Larry Rachman March - John Liguori April - Len Anderson We are attempting to determine whether job leads come from telephone service, directory, postcards, ads, or word-of-mouth, or several of the foregoing. Advertising the Network by bumper stickers was brought up. One member thought it was not professional. Nothing in my notes about the design of the stickers. A logo was mentioned. Some favorable response. No suggestions about design. Nothing in my notes about action on this item. Possibilities for earning continuing education credits for PE registration: Richard Mohr's talk on noise, BPL, nanotechnology. Dave Rost collected money for ads in Pulse and Tech Island Directory. Talks by David Pinkowitz on marketing and Mark Bullock on sales relationships. See January newsletter. That's it for the minutes. I could not attend the ASCE meeting on the forensic investigation of the World Trade Tower collapse. If anybody went to the meeting, I would appreciate learning the reason(s) given for the collapses. Thanks, Richard LaRosa, Secretary.
